The Journey : Collaboration

In an article from Reading Today, it discusses how vital it is to, "sit around a table and define and decide how you are going to teach concepts such as inference.  It's a nomadic journey; this an ongoing conversation that teams will need to have. The leaders are those who are excited about this nomadic journey.  Motivation is contagious, and the leader must keep the team motivated."

nomadic
The definition of the adjective nomadic - migratory; restless society.  As educators we should be restless and continue to move through our educational journey.  We learn from each other just as we encourage our students. Do we all agree on everything of course not!  Do we all have our own styles absolutely! Can we take the journey together YES!

We need to be consistent in sharing the journey together . . . wherever it takes us.

Sitting around a table discussing pedagogy is the ultimate high. How else do teachers engage in real-life learning? Disagreeing, sharing our styles and collaborating is what makes teachers great learners. I am all for the nomadic journey.
