I am presently taking an online grant writing course . . . what an EYE OPENER! The instructor stresses the importance of identifying "buzzwords" of the potential donor and if your organization is an appropriate match. In my research of a variety of Corporate Foundations "Collaborative Partnerships" appear buzzing throughout their message. Once again reinforcing that collaboration is a key that can open many doors. When I was teaching in the classroom, I once had a child say that he couldn't ask his friend for help because that would be "cheating." Today, we should encourage our children to be team players and setting an example as educators. This post confirms the importance of collaboration not only with our fellow colleagues but also with our students.
